I love being in the city, learning about the history and seeing the sights!
1st stop... Empire State
I thought it would be cute and 'touristy' if we had I ❤ NY t-shirts...
always have to style the part your playing!
NY looking at Financial District
Macy's real estate spans is a NY city block!
Empire State of Mind!
a lot of fun on the 86th floor!
McDonalds... y'all know how much I love the $1 menu!
a train ride and short walk later to our next destination...
2nd Stop: World Trade Center ... the Twin Towers ... Ground Zero
Still a very sad sight to see. 10 years later. So many lives lost. A city of people still trying to rebuild.
3rd Stop: Staten Island Ferry
The ferry is huge and it's free. So why are people fighting the crowd like they are trying to get into and expensive box... sheeeesh you would have thought it was the last ferry ever leaving New York taking us to the promise land. Mind you the ferry's arrive every 10 minutes!
Thousands of Life Vest... this is not the Titanic!
Lady Liberty.
4th Stop: Seaport
These people paid to get on this boat to visit similar sights we saw on the free ferry.
The very 1st J. Crew to open in New York was in Seaport. I believe this store is still open because of it's historic presence.
5th Stop: Brooklyn Bridge
Hey DUMBO!
All that walking.. Exhaustion started setting in. My feet were screaming for mercy! Waving the white flag!
That's the end of our New York City journey! I hope you enjoyed the sights!
This was an informative experience, Shay is so knowledgeable about her city.
It's never good enough to just live in a city and not really see, understand and witness the
value it holds!
One of my best days ever!
❤
